The participants in the CEW groups at the STAR center continue to make progress in their ability to form letters. As we've mentioned, we see significant changes in the willingness to write using our handwriting program. Here is a nice examples of how increased participation leads to increased self-esteem and confidence. In turn, you see a much clearer functional outcome in written work. At the start of groups, this 6-year old boy produced lightly written letters with wavering lines. A few days later he was writing straighter lines much darker and clearer. He also demonstrated a significant positive change in his grasp patter. He is, overall, a much confident and efficient writer.
